Micree Zhan is a Chinese billionaire businessman, and the co-founder and co-CEO (with Jihan Wu) of bitcoin mining company Bitmain. Zhan earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Shandong University in 2001, and a master's in engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Microelectronics in 2004. Zhan's first job after university was at Tsinghua University as a research and development engineer in the Research Institute of Information Technology. In 2006, In 2006, he joined the Unitend Technologies, an in 2010, founded DivaIP Technologies, developing TV set-top boxes. Zhan owns 36.58% of Bitmain, and Wu 20.5%, and in August 2018 his estimated net worth was US$4 billion.
Jihan Wu is a co-founder of Bitmain (with Micree Zhan), and a prominent supporter of Bitcoin Cash. He was ranked one of the ten most influential figures in the blockchain world by Coindesk in 2017. In 2018 he was ranked number 3 in Fortune's The Ledger 40 under 40 for transforming business at the leading edge of finance and technology. His net worth in 2018 was US$$2.39 billion. Wu lives in China and has an economics degree from Peking University.
