Momo is one of China’s leading mobile-based social and entertainment platforms, enabling users to discover new relationships and expand their social connections. Momo connects people and facilitates interactions based on location, interests and a variety of recreational activities including live talent shows, short videos, social games as well as other video- and audio-based interactive experiences, such as live chats and mobile karaoke experiences. In May 2018, Momo completed the acquisition of Tantan, a leading social and dating application for China's younger generation. Tantan, whose users primarily consist of young Chinese singles, is designed to help its users to find and establish romantic connections, as well as meet interesting people.
Since its launch in 2011, Momo has developed a large user base. Momo’s MAUs increased to 113.3 million in December 2018 from 99.1 million in December 2017 and 81.1 million in December 2016. Momo had 4.1 million paying users on Tantan application from June 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018.
Momo and Tantan mobile applications can be downloaded and used free of charge, and revenue is generated from the various services we offered on the platforms.
